Weekly Work
This is the schedule of topics we will cover this semester. Refer to the course syllabus for exam dates and assignment due dates. Course syllabus is available on Brightspace.
- Read frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the Welcome page. Read course requirements available in the course syllabus. Syllabus link available on Brightspace.
- Download the Slack app. using the link available under Week 1 in the course syllabus. Texting is the quickest mode of communication outside of class. Link is exclusive to your section. Links to the course syllabus and this course website are also available in Slack under the #all section for easy access to the course.
- Read Chapter 1 in Textbook
- Attend lecture or view recorded lecture if enrolled in an asynchronous section. Lecture link available in the syllabus under Week 1 and on Brightspace under the Weekly Work link for asynchronous sections. Taking written notes during lecture enhances retention.
- Lecture 1 PowerPoint – History of Psychology

- Lecture 2 PowerPoint – Methods of Psychology
- Complete Worksheet 3 when prompted during lecture. Answer questions on a separate sheet of paper. Worksheets are completed during class for in-person and synchronous sections. Asynchronous sections see below.
- Assignment 1 due. Submit assignment on Brightspace under Assignment 1 link on the blue navigation bar. Assignment 1 can also be viewed under the Discussions link on Brightspace. Emailed or text messaged submissions will not be accepted, graded, or counted as on time.
